Orbital Setup
Orbital can be deployed by Secure Endpoint Advantage customers using the Secure Endpoint Connector version 7.1.5 or later for Windows, version 1.16 or later for Mac, and version 1.17 or later for Linux. In order to deploy Orbital you, the Secure Endpoint user, must have been assigned the role of admin.
Additionally, it is important that you connect to the Orbital service for your region, North America, Europe, or Asia and Pacific. These connection requirements are defined in the North America, Europe, and Asia and Pacific subsections below.
Once you have deployed Orbital and set up the appropriate service connections, you will need to set up how your organization uses Orbital. This is done in the My Account, Users, Remote Data Store, and Organizations pages of the Administration group in the left-side navigation bar.
Cisco XDR or Secure Client Management Admin Users
Orbital has only one user permission profile, write. A user assigned the write profile can log on, create queries, and read the query's results. Anyone who is an Cisco XDR or Secure Client Management admin automatically gets write access to Orbital.
Cisco XDR or Secure Client Management users assigned the admin role can grant non-Orbital users, in their organization, the necessary rights to use Orbital, such as creating queries and viewing the results of those queries. Access rights are granted from the Users page of the Administration menu.
