Orbital Release Notes

Orbital releases can be:

Service Release - Maintenance, upgrades, and updates to the Orbital service or console.
Node Release - Maintenance, upgrades, and updates to the Orbital node that runs on devices.

Orbital Windows Node Release 2.42, 2026-01-27

Available via Secure Client:

Added the ability for the Orbital node to automatically detect and use proxy settings configured on the device operating system. Refer to the Orbital Requirements topic for more details.
Fixed an Orbital installer issue so it will no longer fail on the first install on a new endpoint using the Secure Client Full Installer.
Addressed an issue where the node would return an invalid exit code when a script was executed on a different operating system than it was intended for.

Fixed an issue where scheduled queries/scripts could not select multiple Remote Data Stores to store the result data. Refer to the Scheduled Queries topic for more details.
