Remote Data Stores
On the Remote Data Store page, you can define and maintain connections to external storage systems. Orbital retains queried information for 48 hours. You can configure remote data stores to redirect and store query responses for longer periods, adhering to your own data retention policies. For more information on how Orbital handles remote data stores, refer to the Remote Data Stores page.
The Remote Data Store page includes:

Search remote data store field: Allows you to find specific data stores by name, host, bucket, and region.

Add Remote Data Store: Click + Add remote data store to define new remote data stores. For more information, see Setting Up Remote Data Stores.

Refresh: Click Refresh to update the displayed list.

View docs: Click View docs to access related API documentation.
You can change the table density and column settings for the Remote Data Store table by clicking the Table settings icon.
Table settings are saved for each login session.
Accessing Remote Data Store Errors
Any remote data store errors are displayed within Orbital. You can access them from:

The Remote Data Store page:

Navigate to Administration > Remote Data Stores.

Review the Remote Data Store table, particularly the Status column, for any error messages.

The Schedule query/script modal on the Investigate page:

Go to the Investigate page.

Click Schedule query or Schedule script.

Check the Remote Data Store drop-down list for any displayed errors.
